Hughes had won two straight games and LeShawn Hill did his part to make it three on Friday. The Hughes BIG RED sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with a 54-51 win over the St. Edmund Prep Eagles thanks in part to Hill, who went 6 of 11 on his way to 16 points in addition to eight assists and eight boards. He is also on a roll when it comes to steals, as he's now grabbed two or more in the last four games he's played.
Another player making a difference was Sir Stirling, who posted eight points and 11 rebounds. He is becoming a predictor of Hughes' success: when he posts at least ten boards the team is 4-1 (and 1-2 when he doesn't).
Hughes' victory bumped their record up to 5-3. As for St. Edmund Prep, their loss dropped their record down to 6-2.
