Recap: Leeds Greenwave vs. Springville Tigers
After a string of three wins, the Leeds Greenwave's's good fortune finally ran out on Friday. They were just a bucket shy of victory and fell 43-42 to Springville. Leeds has not had much luck with Springville recently, as the team's come up short the last seven times they've met.
Despite the loss, Leeds still got an impressive performance from Tabari Davis, who scored 8 points along with 6 rebounds and 5 steals. Davis hasn't dropped below two steals for seven straight games. Another player making a difference was Will Thomas, who scored 9 points.
Leeds' defeat was their third straight on the road, which bumped their record down to 5-3. They've been dominating during the matches in that stretch too, as they've won by an average of 19 points. As for Springville, the win (which was their third in a row) raised their record to 7-5.
Leeds will be playing in front of their home fans against Oak Mountain at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Springville, they will head out on the road to face off against Clay-Chalkville at 7:30 p.m. on Monday.
