Baseball Game Preview: Churchill Chargers vs. Dearborn Pioneers

For the second straight game, Churchill will face off against Dearborn. The Chargers will be playing at home against the Pioneers at 4:30 p.m. on Wednesday. Churchill's pitching crew has only allowed 2.2 runs per game this season, so Dearborn's hitters will have their work cut out for them.

Churchill was handed a heart-breaking two-run loss in their last match, but they sure didn't let that happen against Dearborn on Monday. The Chargers were the clear victors by a 10-2 margin over the Pioneers. Considering the Chargers have won 11 contests by more than five runs this season, Monday's blowout was nothing new.

For Dearborn's part, they saw five different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Glenn Scurlock, who went 1-for-2 with one stolen base and one run.

Churchill's victory bumped their record up to 19-6-1. As for Dearborn, they have traveled a rocky road recently, having lost four of their last five games. That's put a noticeable dent in their 11-12 record this season.
