Basketball Game Preview: Rapides Mustangs vs. Plainview Hornets

Rapides hasn't had much luck against Plainview recently, but that could start to change on Monday. The Rapides Mustangs will be home for the holidays to greet the Plainview Hornets at 5:00 p.m.

Rapides is headed into Monday's contest looking for a big change in momentum after dropping their fifth straight game on Tuesday. They came up short against Marksville, falling 56-36.

Meanwhile, Plainview had already won seven in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 20.7 points) and they went ahead and made it eight on Friday. They breezed by the Bulldogs to the tune of 70-13. The Hornets have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won six matchups by 27 points or more this season.

Rapides' defeat dropped their record down to 1-6. As for Plainview, they have been performing incredibly well recently as they've won ten of their last 11 games, which provided a nice bump to their 13-2 record this season.
