Softball Recap: Riverside University/Meir Victorious

While Riverside University/Meir's win against Milwaukee King wasn't quite the blowout it was the last time the pair played, they still came out on top. Riverside University/Meir won by a run and slipped past Milwaukee King 7-6. The victory continues a trend for Riverside University/Meir in their matchups with Milwaukee King: they've now won three in a row.

Chaeli Gutzmann was incredible, going a perfect 2-for-2 with four stolen bases, two runs, and one triple. Those four stolen bases gave her a new career-high. Another player making a difference was Izzy Alvarado, who got on base in two of her three plate appearances with three stolen bases, two runs, and one RBI.

Riverside University/Meir's win bumped their record up to 5-6. As for Milwaukee King, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 1-4.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Riverside University/Meir will welcome Milwaukee Bay View at 5:00 p.m. on Wednesday. As for Milwaukee King, they will look to defend their home field on Friday against Hamilton/Audubon at 5:00 p.m.
