Soccer Game Preview: Campbell vs. 'Aiea

The Campbell Sabers and the 'Aiea Na Alii will round out the year against one another at at 7:00 p.m. on Monday. Campbell's offense has struggled lately (the team hasn't scored more than a single goal for three straight games), a trend the team is no doubt ready to end.

Campbell is coming in fresh off a high-stakes matchup with another one of Hawaii's top teams: Mililani, who was ranked second at the time (Campbell was ranked ninth). Campbell lost 3-0 to Mililani on Friday.

Meanwhile, 'Aiea fell victim to Pearl City and their airtight defense on Friday. They came up short against the Chargers, falling 10-0. The defeat continues a trend for the Na Alii in their matchups with the Chargers: they've now lost five in a row.

'Aiea's loss dropped their record down to 2-5. As for Campbell, their defeat dropped their record down to 4-3-1.

Campbell took their win against 'Aiea in their previous meeting back in January by a conclusive 6-1. The rematch might be a little tougher for Campbell since the squad won't have the home-pitch advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
