Recap: Brookstone Cougars vs. Heritage Hawks
After a string of four wins, the Brookstone Cougars's good fortune finally ran out on Friday. They suffered a rough 60-39 loss at the hands of Heritage. The result shouldn't come as a shock considering that's the fewest points Brookstone has scored all season.
Brookstone lost despite a true team effort on the offense, the best among them being Thomas Henderson, who scored seven points.
Heritage's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Mason Robert bolinger led the charge by scoring 16 points along with five rebounds and three steals. The team also got some help courtesy of Max Skidmore, who scored 18 points.
Brookstone's loss ended a four-game streak of away wins and brought them to 11-7. As for Heritage, they pushed their record up to 15-2 with that victory, which was their 12th straight at home.
Coincidentally, both teams will both be playing St. Mary's Academy the next time they take the court. Brookstone will head out to face St. Mary's Academy at 7:30 p.m. on Saturday, while Heritage will head out to face them at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
