Softball Game Preview: Riverview Sharks vs. Robinson Knights

The Riverview Sharks will challenge the Robinson Knights at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Neither Riverview nor Robinson posted many runs in their last games, so it might be the pitching crews that decide this one.

Last Thursday, Riverview came up short against Chamberlain and fell 5-2. The Sharks have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Kylie Freeland was cooking despite her team's loss, going 2-for-3 with one home run and one double. That home run was her first of the season. Cecilia Cartwright was another key player, scoring a run and stealing two bases while getting on base in all three of her plate appearances.

Meanwhile, Friday just wasn't the day for Robinson's offense. They came up short against Plant City on Friday, falling 8-0. Considering the last time the Knights couldn't score was back in February, the team can't take the result too hard.

Robinson saw five different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Maddy Satin, who went 1-for-3 with one double.

Riverview's defeat dropped their record down to 9-7. As for Robinson, they have traveled a rocky road recently, having lost three of their last four matches. That's put a noticeable dent in their 7-11 record this season.
