Baseball Recap: Hanover Area Comes Up Short

Hanover Area fell victim to Berwick and their airtight pitching crew on Tuesday. They fell just short of the Bulldogs by a score of 2-0. Having soared to a lofty ten runs in the game before, the Hawkeyes' shutout was a dramatic turnaround.

Logan Richardson was a force to be reckoned with on the mound despite the final result: he tossed five innings while giving up just two earned runs off five hits.

On the hitting side, Hanover Area saw three different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Cam Kratz, who went a perfect 2-for-2 with one stolen base.

Hanover Area's defeat dropped their record down to 0-2. As for Berwick, the win got them back to even at 1-1.

Looking ahead, Hanover Area will face off against Dunmore at 4:30 p.m. on Friday. Dunmore will roll in looking for their sixth straight victory, something Hanover Area surely won't give up without a fight. As for Berwick, they will take on North Pocono at 4:15 p.m. on Thursday.
