Volleyball Game Preview: Plainfield North Tigers vs. Minooka Indians

Plainfield North has gone a perfect 4-0 against Minooka recently and they'll look to pad the win column further on Thursday. The Tigers will host the Indians at 4:30 p.m.

On Tuesday, Plainfield North came up short against Joliet Central and fell 2-0.

Plainfield North was was forced to take the loss, but they sure made Joliet Central work for it, especially in the second set. The final score came out to 25-20, 27-25.

Meanwhile, Minooka had just enough and edged out Plainfield South 2-1 on Tuesday. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest win the Indians have posted against the Cougars since May 6, 2022.

It was an exciting match in which no team won back-to-back sets, but at the end of the day Minooka got the one that really mattered. The match finished with set scores of 25-23, 29-31, 25-12.

Minooka has been performing incredibly well recently as they've won seven of their last eight contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 17-17 record this season. As for Plainfield North, their defeat dropped their record down to 15-18.

Plainfield North beat Minooka 2-0 in their previous meeting back in May of 2024. Will the Tigers repeat their success, or do the Indians have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
