Basketball Game Preview: Annandale Cardinals vs. Watertown-Mayer Royals

The Annandale Cardinals will head out to challenge the Watertown-Mayer Royals at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. One thing working in Annandale's favor is that they have posted at least 55 points in their last five matches.

Last Friday, Annandale earned a 79-71 victory over Rockford.

Meanwhile, Watertown-Mayer didn't have quite enough to beat Central on Saturday and fell 64-62. The Royals have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Annandale has been performing well recently as they've won six of their last eight games, which provided a nice bump to their 10-8 record this season. The wins came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 67.5 points over those games. As for Watertown-Mayer, their defeat dropped their record down to 12-10.

Annandale came up short against Watertown-Mayer in their previous matchup back in January, falling 49-44. Can Annandale avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
