Basketball Game Preview: Ridgeland Panthers vs. Woodland Wildcats

The Ridgeland Panthers will head out on the road to take on the Woodland Wildcats at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. The two teams are strolling into their games after big wins in their previous games.

Woodland will challenge a team with plenty of momentum: Ridgeland extended their winning streak to five on Wednesday. Everything went the Panthers' way against Chattanooga Christian as they made off with a 49-23 victory. The 49-point effort marked the Panthers' lowest-scoring matchup of the season, but in the end it didn't matter.

Meanwhile, Woodland hadn't done well against Gordon Central recently (they were 2-7 in their previous nine matchups), but they didn't let the past get in their way on Tuesday. The Wildcats put the hurt on the Warriors with a sharp 49-25 win. The victory continues a trend for the Wildcats in their matchups with the Warriors: they've now won three in a row.

Woodland now has a winning record of 3-2. As for Ridgeland, their win bumped their record up to 5-0.
