Volleyball Recap: Baxter Springs Find Success

Baxter Springs won the last time they faced Iola and things went their way on Monday too. The Lions walked away with a 2-0 win over the Mustangs. The victory made it back-to-back wins for the Lions.

The 2-0 score doesn't show just how dominant Baxter Springs was: they took both sets by at least 11 points. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-14, 25-10.

Kadence Underhill paced Baxter Springs' offense, picking up nine kills. Underhill got some help from Sam Sheffer and her 18 assists.

Baxter Springs' victory bumped their record up to 26-15. As for Iola, they have been struggling recently as they've lost nine of their last 12 matches. That's put a noticeable dent in their 9-25 record this season.

Baxter Springs has already played their next contest, a 2-1 loss against Frontenac on the 25th. As for Iola, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next matchup, a 2-1 win against Osawatomie on the 20th.
