Softball Recap: Andress Eagles vs. Chapin Huskies
Andress was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their 14th straight loss. They wound up on the wrong side of a rough 20-1 walloping at the hands of the Chapin Huskies. The result was an unpleasant reminder to Andress of the 11-2 defeat they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture on April 5th.
Andress saw three different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Andrea Vega, who went 2-for-2 with a double.
On Chapin's side, Alyssa Pena made a big impact no matter where she played. On the mound, she pitched three innings while giving up no earned run off three hits. Pena was also solid in the batter's box, scoring two runs and stealing a base while going 2-for-2.
In other batting news, Chapin got a massive performance out of Jazmine Enriquez, who scored four runs and stole a base while going 2-for-3. Another player making a difference was Haylee Hernandez, who went 2-for-4 with a home run, four RBI, and two runs.
