Basketball Recap: Freeman Extends Winning Streak to Eight

Freeman proved they can win big last Saturday (they won by 45) and on Tuesday they proved they can win the close ones too. They sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with a 47-44 win over the West Valley Eagles. The victory almost wasn't to be: the Scotties were down 31-17 in the second quarter.

Freeman can attribute much of their success to Colton Wells, who posted 19 points.

The win was the eighth in a row for Freeman, bringing their record for this year to 10-2. The wins came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 64.4 points per game. As for West Valley, their defeat ended a three-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 10-2.

Freeman has already played their next game, an 83-23 victory against Lind-Ritzville/Sprague/Washtucna on the 17th. As for West Valley, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next matchup, an 83-49 win against East Valley on the 17th.
