Basketball Recap: Adrian Paliling and Jacob Armstrong Secure Win for Champlain Valley Union

It's playoff time, and Champlain Valley Union had no trouble coming through when it counted. They walked away with a 50-42 victory over the Bellows Free Academy Bobwhites/Comets on Tuesday. That's the third time they've managed to beat them this season, with their most recent win being a 50-46 victory back in January.

Champlain Valley Union was led to victory by Jacob Armstrong and Adrian Paliling. Armstrong en route to 19 points and four steals, while Paliling on his way to 16 points. The dominant performance gave Armstrong a new career-high in points. Another player making a difference was Alex Jovell, who posted three points and three steals.

Champlain Valley Union's win bumped their record up to 9-12. As for Bellows Free Academy, they have traveled a rocky road recently having lost five of their last six matches. That's put a noticeable dent in their 9-14 record this season.

Champlain Valley Union will square off against Burlington on Friday. One thing working in Burlington's favor is that they have posted at least 55 points in their last seven games. Bellows Free Academy does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
