Baseball Recap: Lockwood Takes a Loss

Lockwood was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their third straight loss. They fell 11-6 to the Ash Grove Pirates. The Tigers were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Pirates apparently hadn't forgotten their defeat the last time these teams played back in May of 2025.

Landry Ogden made the most of his time in the batter's box despite the final result and went 2-for-3 with two runs, one stolen base, and one RBI. He is becoming a predictor of Lockwood's success: when he posts at least two runs the team is 3-1 (and 6-7 when he doesn't). The team also got some help courtesy of River Stephens, who went 1-for-3 with two RBI and one run.

Lockwood's record is now 9-8. As for Ash Grove, their victory was their 18th straight at home, which pushed their record up to 22-4-1.

Looking ahead, Lockwood will head out to take on Stockton at 4:30 p.m. on Thursday. As for Ash Grove, they will welcome Skyline at 4:30 p.m. on Thursday. The matchup will give the Pirates their first taste of in-conference action this season.
