Friendswood waltzed into their matchup on Tuesday with eight straight wins... but they left with nine. They put the hurt on the Santa Fe Indians with a sharp 3-0 win. That's the second time they've managed to beat them this season, as they also won 3-0 back in September.

Friendswood's got stronger as the match went on, holding Santa Fe to fewer and fewer points set over set. The final score came out to 25-21, 25-17, 25-14.

Friendswood's offense was headlined by Nadiya Shelby and Sarah Beth Smith, who picked up ten kills apiece. They got some help from Caroline Adams and her 25 assists. Haley Patton controlled things from the service line, finishing with two aces.

Friendswood's record is now 32-8. As for Santa Fe, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 13-22.

We've got plenty of inter-district action coming up soon. Friendswood will face off against rival Angleton at 6:30 p.m. on Friday. Meanwhile, Santa Fe is set to square off against their familiar foe Texas City at 6:30 p.m. on Friday.
