Basketball Game Preview: Hersey Huskies vs. Nazareth Academy Roadrunners

The Hersey Huskies will head out to face off against the Nazareth Academy Roadrunners at 7:00 p.m. on Monday. Both come into the match bolstered by wins in their previous matches.

Last Friday, Hersey got the win against Rolling Meadows by a conclusive 44-19. The Huskies have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won seven games by 25 points or more this season.

Meanwhile, Nazareth Academy entered their tilt with Carmel on Saturday with six consecutive wins but they'll enter their next game with seven. They came out on top against the Corsairs by a score of 49-41. Given the Roadrunners' advantage in MaxPreps' Illinois basketball rankings (they are ranked 15th, while the Corsairs are ranked 155th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

Nazareth Academy's win was their 13th straight on the road dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 15-2. Those victories came thanks to their defensive effort, having only surrendered 29.5 points per game. As for Hersey, the victory made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 13-7.
