Volleyball Recap: Las Lomas Wins Going Away Against Monte Vista

Las Lomas barely beat Monte Vista the last time the pair played, but that sure wasn't the case this time around. Everything went the Las Lomas Knights' way against the Monte Vista Mustangs on Monday as the Las Lomas Knights made off with a 3-0 win. The Knights have seen this before: they got the W the last time they saw the Mustangs, too.

Las Lomas not only won, but also showed off some consistency: they kept Monte Vista between 15 and 18 points across their sets. The match finished with set scores of 25-15, 25-18, 25-18.

Las Lomas found their leader in sophomore Tate Thompson, who had 27 assists and two aces.

Las Lomas couldn't miss and finished the game having scored on 71.8% of their attack attempts. That was just more of the same: they've now posted a hitting percentage of 54.3% or higher every time they've taken the court this season.

Las Lomas' victory bumped their record up to 3-1.

Las Lomas didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next contest, a 3-0 win against Oakland Tech on the 4th. As for Monte Vista, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next matchup, a 3-0 loss against Acalanes on the 6th.
