Football Recap: Northwest Catholic Starts off Right with Win over Derby + How To Watch

Northwest Catholic had to travel to play their first game of the season, but the final result was worth the trip. They claimed a resounding 42-0 victory over the Derby Red Raiders. The score at the end of the third wound up being the final score as the Lions just coasted through the last quarter.

A big part of Northwest Catholic's win came down to the chemistry between Vincent Burbank and his top target Kayden Davis. Burbank threw for 273 yards and three touchdowns while completing 77.3% of his passes while Davis picked up 145 receiving yards and three TDs. What's more, Burbank racked up 157.8 passer rating, the most he's had since back in September of 2024.

Northwest Catholic wasted no time getting back out on the field and has already played their next match, a 31-6 victory against Farmington on the 19th. As for Derby, they have also already played their next game, a 35-6 win against Watertown on the 19th.
