Basketball Game Preview: Park Crossing Thunderbirds vs. Rehobeth Rebels

The Park Crossing Thunderbirds are taking a road trip to challenge the Rehobeth Rebels at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. One thing working in Park Crossing's favor is that they have posted at least 55 points in their last three matchups.

Park Crossing took a loss when they played away from home on Monday, but their home fans gave them all the motivation they needed on Tuesday. They came out on top against Pike Road by a score of 68-58. The victory was a breath of fresh air for the Thunderbirds as it put an end to their three-game losing streak.

Meanwhile, Rehobeth was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their sixth straight loss. They were four points away from ending the streak, but they lost a 58-54 heartbreaker at the hands of Russell County. While losing is never fun, the Rebels can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Alabama basketball rankings (they are ranked 242nd, while the Warriors are ranked 58th).

Park Crossing pushed their record up to 5-13 with the win, which was their third straight at home. The wins came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 68.3 points per game. As for Rehobeth, their defeat dropped their record down to 10-13.

Park Crossing strolled past Rehobeth when the teams last played two weeks ago by a score of 63-45. The rematch might be a little tougher for Park Crossing since the squad won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
