Softball Game Preview: Nevada Cubs vs. Prairie City-Monroe Mustangs

Nevada has won three straight games at home, while Prairie City-Monroe has won three straight on the road dating back to last season, but those streaks won't matter much on Monday. The Cubs will welcome the Mustangs at 5:30 p.m. The two teams have allowed few runs on average (Nevada 2.6, Prairie City-Monroe 3.8) so any runs scored will be well earned.

While Nevada didn't have the best season last year (they finished 4-19), it's starting to look like those struggles are a thing of the past. Everything went their way against Greene County on Friday as they made off with a 7-1 win.

Meanwhile, Prairie City-Monroe didn't have quite enough to beat Grand View Christian on Friday and fell 5-3.

Nevada's victory bumped their record up to 4-1. As for Prairie City-Monroe, their defeat dropped their record down to 2-2.
