            The Lawrence Cardinals will face off against the Trenton Central Tornadoes at 4:00  p.m.  on Monday. The teams are on pretty different trajectories at the moment (Lawrence has three straight  victories, Trenton Central has three straight  defeats), but none of that matters once you're on the field.
Lawrence is headed in fresh off scoring the most  runs they have   all season. They came out on top against Allentown by a score of  10-5  on Thursday.
  Josh Vichroski was  incredible,  going 1-for-3 with three  RBI, one  triple,  and one  run. That  run was  his first of the season. Another player making a difference was  Teak Toto, who  scored a  run while  getting on base  in three of his four plate appearances.
 Meanwhile, Thursday just wasn't the day for Trenton Central's offense. They lost  16-0 to Hightstown on Thursday. The  matchup marked the first time this year in which the Tornadoes were not able to get on the board.
 Lawrence's win was  their seventh straight at home dating back to last season, which  pushed their record up to 6-3. Those  home  victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 2.1 runs on average over those games. As for Trenton Central, their loss dropped their record down to 2-4.
 Lawrence beat Trenton Central 5-2  in their previous meeting  back in April of 2024. Do  the Cardinals have another victory up their sleeve, or will the Tornadoes turn the tables on them?  We'll have the answer soon enough.
