Basketball Recap: Terra Verde Discovery Drops Highest Score of Season Against the New School

Terra Verde Discovery scored the most points they've had this season on Tuesday, but it wasn't enough. They fell just short of The New School Cougars by a score of 85-83. Despite running the score up even higher than they did in their prior game on Friday (65), the Owls still had to take the loss.

Despite the loss, Terra Verde Discovery still got an impressive performance from Kristian Payne, who dropped a double-double with 40 points and 13 rebounds. Thanks to that strong game, Payne now owns an excellent 52.3% shooting accuracy. The team also got some help courtesy of Heustin Stroops, who went 6-for-15 on his way to 16 points and seven boards.

Terra Verde Discovery's defeat dropped their record down to 2-2.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming contests. Terra Verde Discovery will square off against Grind Prep on Thursday. As for The New School, they will face off against Oklahoma F at 3:15 p.m. on Saturday.
