Soccer Recap: Mona Shores Comes Up Short

Mona Shores was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their fifth straight loss. They lost 8-2 to the Grand Haven Buccaneers. While losing is never fun, Mona Shores can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Michigan soccer rankings (they are ranked 202nd, while Grand Haven are ranked 19th).

Mona Shores' defeat dropped their record down to 3-7-1. As for Grand Haven, the win was the fourth in a row for them, bringing their record up to 8-1-2.

Looking ahead, Mona Shores will take on Muskegon at 5:30 p.m. on Thursday. As for Grand Haven, they will host East Kentwood at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday.
