Rylan Parkins leads a balanced attack to beat Asheville

Recap: McDowell Titans vs. Asheville Cougars

The McDowell Titans can now show off nine landslide victories after their most recent match on Friday. Everything went their way against Asheville as McDowell made off with a 62-38 win. Winning may never get old, but McDowell sure is getting used to it with their fifth in a row.

Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead McDowell to victory, but perhaps none more so than Rylan Parkins, who scored 15 points. David Olivo was another key contributor, scoring 13 points.

Asheville's loss came despite strong showings from Andre Thomas and Aidan Shaw. Thomas scored seven points along with two steals, while Shaw scored six points along with five rebounds and two steals.

McDowell has been performing incredibly well recently as they've won nine of their last ten games, which provided a nice bump to their 19-3 record this season. As for Asheville, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 8-12.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. McDowell will play host again and welcome Erwin, where tip off is scheduled for 8:00 p.m. on Tuesday. McDowell is facing Erwin at the right time seeing as Erwin is stuck on a 11-game losing streak. As for Asheville, they will look to defend their home court on Tuesday against North Buncombe at 8:15 p.m. North Buncombe has been getting the ball to fall more lately as they've increased their point totals each of their last three games.
