Sodus lost to Clyde-Savannah back in April, but they didn't allow them the same satisfaction on Wednesday. The Spartans put the hurt on the Golden Eagles with a sharp 17-5 win. Considering the Spartans have won eight matches by more than nine runs this season, Wednesday's blowout was nothing new.

Sodus pushed their record up to 9-4 with the victory, which was their third straight on the road. The team dominated over that stretch too, winning by an average of 13 runs. As for Clyde-Savannah, they have traveled a rocky road recently, having lost four of their last five games. That's put a noticeable dent in their 6-8 record this season.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Sodus will host Lyons at 4:45 p.m. on Thursday. The Lions will roll in looking for their eighth straight win, something the Spartans surely won't give up without a fight. As for Clyde-Savannah, they will be playing at home against Red Jacket at 4:45 p.m. on Thursday.
