Basketball Game Preview: Cordova Lancers vs. Grant Pacers

Cordova is 1-6 against Grant since December of 2014 but they'll have a chance to close the gap a little bit on Friday. The Cordova Lancers will be playing in front of their home fans against the Grant Pacers at 7:30 p.m.

Cordova is headed into Friday's matchup looking for a big change in momentum after dropping their 16th straight game on Friday. They took a blow against Destiny Christian Academy, falling 78-37. While losing is never fun, the Lancers can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' California basketball rankings (they are ranked 933rd, while the Lions are ranked 100th).

Meanwhile, winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Grant). They strolled past McClatchy with points to spare on Wednesday, taking the game 81-63. The win was nothing new for the Pacers as they're now sitting on three straight.

Cordova's loss dropped their record down to 1-21. As for Grant, their victory bumped their record up to 18-9.
