Baseball Recap: Lancaster Finds Home Field Redemption Against Camden

There's no place like home for Lancaster, who bounced back after a loss on the road last Tuesday. They narrowly escaped with a win as the team sidled past the Camden Bulldogs 6-4. The victory was some much needed relief for the Bruins as it spelled an end to their three-game losing streak.

Simeon Strother was excellent, scoring a run while going 2-for-3. The dominant performance also gave him a new career-high in doubles (two). Another player making a difference was Parker McGee, who scored a run and stole a base while going 2-for-3.

Lancaster was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .407. They are a perfect 5-0 when they post a batting average of .375 or better.

Lancaster's win bumped their record up to 6-7. As for Camden, their loss was their first in the region, dropping their region record down to 4-1 and their overall record down to 8-7.

Coming up, Lancaster will look to defend their home field on Monday against North Central at 7:15 p.m. The Bruins are facing the Knights at the right time seeing as the Knights are stuck on an 11-game losing streak. As for Camden, they are taking a road trip to challenge A.C. Flora at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
