Football Recap: Derry Gets the Win

Derry won the last time they faced Burrell and things went their way on Friday too. The Trojans snuck past the Bucs with a 13-7 victory. The win made it back-to-back victories for the Trojans.

It was another big night for Max Doherty, who rushed for 102 yards and two scores. Those two rushing touchdowns gave him a new career-high.

Derry's win bumped their record up to 3-1. As for Burrell, their loss was their fifth straight on the road dating back to last season, which dropped their record down to 1-3.

Derry wasted no time getting back out on the field and has already played their next contest, a 41-34 defeat against Indiana on the 19th. As for Burrell, they also didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next game, a 34-7 loss against Freeport on the 19th.
