Preview: Malden Golden Tornados vs. Belchertown Orioles
The Malden Golden Tornados will head out on the road to take on the Belchertown Orioles at 2:30 p.m. on Saturday. Given that both teams suffered a loss in their last game, they both have a little extra motivation heading into this matchup.
Malden lost a heartbreaker when they last took the court, but unfortunately for them the loss they were handed on on Thursday was a bit more commanding. They were dealt a 73-44 loss at the hands of Lynn English. Malden has struggled against Lynn English recently, as their matchup on Thursday was their ninth consecutive lost matchup.
Meanwhile, Belchertown was the victim of a rough 59-39 defeat at the hands of Tantasqua Regional on Friday. The result shouldn't come as a shock considering that's the fewest points Belchertown has scored all season.
Malden has been struggling recently as they've lost five of their last six matches, which put a noticeable dent in their 6-12 record this season. As for Belchertown, their loss dropped their record down to 6-8.
