Football Recap: Limestone Takes a Loss

Limestone played a tough game on Friday in which they were outscored in every quarter. They were outmatched by the Metamora Redbirds and fell 49-13. The Rockets were in a tough position after the first half, with the score already sitting at 28-7.

Stephen Petri produced another solid effort rushing for 81 yards and a pair of scores on only nine carries, while also throwing for 35 yards and one TD for Metamora.

Limestone's loss dropped their record down to 0-7. As for Metamora, the victory was the fourth in a row for them, bringing their record up to 6-1.

Limestone has already played their next matchup, a 42-0 defeat against Pekin on the 17th. As for Metamora, they also didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next contest, a 63-20 win against East Peoria on the 17th.
