Westview had won eight straight on the road, but on Friday they bumped up to 20-1 to make it nine. They took down the Goshen RedHawks 69-53. This was payback for the Warriors, who suffered a 51-41 loss the last time these two teams met.

As for Goshen, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 14-6. RedHawks fans who chose to attend the game sure picked the wrong one: it was the first time the team has lost against Westview since Friday.

Goshen's defeat came despite a true team effort with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Braxton Cline, who shot 42% from the field en route to 13 points along with six assists and six rebounds. Cline has been hot recently, having also posted two or more steals the last three times he's played. Another player making a difference was Levi Sawatzky, who posted 17 points.

Westview and Goshen should be looking forward to their upcoming games as both have a sizable advantage in the MaxPreps Indiana Rankings. The Warriors will face off against Fremont at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday with a big rank advantage (27 vs. 426). Meanwhile, Goshen (ranked 71st) will meet West Noble (ranked 311th) at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
