Football Recap: Cloverdale Eagles vs. Kelseyville Knights
Cloverdale was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their third straight loss. They were outmatched by the Kelseyville Knights at home and fell 41-8. The result was an unpleasant reminder to the Eagles of the 47-14 defeat they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in September of 2023.
It was another big night for Michael Dejohn, who rushed for 199 yards and four touchdowns on only 11 carries for Kelseyville. Those 199 rushing yards gave Dejohn a new career-high.
Cloverdale's loss dropped their record down to 1-4. As for Kelseyville, the victory (which was their third in a row) raised their record to 4-1.
Cloverdale will have a little extra prep time after the defeat as they won't be playing again for a while. They'll take on Willits at 7:00 p.m. on October 11th. After each having a week off, Kelseyville and Upper Lake will shake off the cobwebs and challenge one another at 7:00 p.m. on October 11th.
