Soccer Game Preview: Riverside Prep vs. Channel Islands

The Riverside Prep Silver Knights will square off against the Channel Islands Raiders at 5:00 p.m. on Saturday. Both come into the matchup bolstered by wins in their previous matches.

Riverside Prep is on a roll after a high-stakes playoff matchup on Thursday. They had just enough and edged Saddleback out 2-1. The result kept the Silver Knights happy, as they haven't lost a game since January 14th.

Julian Martinez and Gabriel Suarez scored both of Riverside Prep's goals, bringing their combined season tally to six goals.

Meanwhile, Channel Islands kept a clean sheet against Windward on Thursday. They blew past the Wildcats 3-0. The result kept the Raiders happy, as they haven't lost a game since January 24th.

Riverside Prep is on a roll lately: they've won four of their last five games, which provided a nice bump to their 13-8 record this season. The wins came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they scored 13 goals over those five contests. As for Channel Islands, they pushed their record up to 8-5 with the win, which was their fourth straight at home.
