Donahue Catholic has gone a perfect 3-0 against Mason Classical Academy recently and they'll look to pad the win column further on Thursday. The Shamrocks are taking a road trip to challenge the Paladins at 3:00 p.m. Both squads will be entering this one on the heels of a big victory.
Donahue Catholic had to skate by with only a one-run margin when they last took the field, which might have inspired the 18-run drubbing they dealt Everglades City on Wednesday. The Shamrocks were the clear victors by a 22-4 margin over the Gators.

The team relied heavily on Jack Kadlec, who went a perfect 3-for-3 with one home run, three stolen bases, and four runs. Those four runs gave him a new career-high. The team also got some help courtesy of Thomas Green, who scored three runs and stole four bases while going 2-for-3.
Donahue Catholic always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .771. They are 6-1 when they post an OBP of .513 or better.
Meanwhile, Mason Classical Academy made easy work of Everglades City on Monday and carried off an 18-3 victory. The Paladins haven't had any issues with the Gators recently, as the game was their eighth consecutive win against them.
Hudson Weniger made a splash no matter where he played. He looked comfortable on the mound, pitching three innings while giving up just two earned (and one unearned) runs but no hits. He has been nothing but reliable: he hasn't given up more than one hit in three consecutive appearances. He was also stellar in the batter's box, getting on base in three of his four plate appearances with two stolen bases, two runs, and one triple.
In other batting news, Alastair Rockley was a standout: he scored three runs and stole four bases while getting on base in all four of his plate appearances. He is becoming a predictor of Mason Classical Academy's success: when he posts at least two stolen bases the team is undefeated (and 1-5 when he doesn't). Mason Lichter was another key player, scoring four runs and stealing four bases while getting on base in three of his four plate appearances.
Donahue Catholic now has a winning record of 6-5. As for Mason Classical Academy, their record is now 4-5.
Everything went Donahue Catholic's way against Mason Classical Academy when the teams last played back in February, as Donahue Catholic made off with a 16-7 victory. Will the Shamrocks repeat their success, or do the Paladins have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
