Football Recap: Ringwood Comes Up Short

Ringwood fell victim to Pond Creek-Hunter and their airtight defense on Friday. They had to suffer through a 58-0 loss at the hands of the Panthers. If the Red Devils were looking for revenge after losing 60-14 to the Panthers when the teams met back in September of 2024, then they'll just have to keep looking.

Pond Creek-Hunter's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Tegan Cowherd led the charge by rushing for 49 yards and one touchdown, while also throwing for 80 yards and one TD. Laker Easley was in the mix too, providing the Panthers with two scores.

Ringwood's defeat dropped their record down to 0-3. As for Pond Creek-Hunter, the win (which was their third in a row) raised their record to 3-1.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Ringwood will venture away from home to take on Cherokee at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Pond Creek-Hunter, they will head out to challenge Oaks-Mission at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. The Panthers will be up against the Warriors' rather soft defense (which has allowed 30.5 points per matchup), so fans could be in store for a big offensive performance.
