Basketball Recap: Lancaster Takes Loss Despite Strong Performances from Shondra Henderson and Keelan Benjamin

Lancaster was not able to break out of their rough patch on Monday as the team picked up their sixth straight defeat. They lost to the Highland Bulldogs on the road by a 73-58 margin. Despite running the score up even higher than they did in their prior game last Friday (57), the Eagles still had to take the loss.

Lancaster's loss came despite strong showings from Keelan Benjamin and Shondra Henderson. Benjamin posted 23 points, while Henderson scored 19 points. That's the most points Benjamin has posted since back in November of 2024.

Lancaster's loss dropped their record down to 9-18. As for Highland, the win (which was their third in a row) raised their record to 12-14.

Lancaster didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next game, a 72-40 victory against Antelope Valley on the 5th. As for Highland, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next matchup, a 71-38 win against Palmdale on the 5th.
