St. Laurence won the last time they faced Lincoln-Way Central and things went their way on Friday too. The Vikings walked away with a 2-0 victory over the Knights. The win made it back-to-back victories for the Vikings.

Aubrey Martinez paced St. Laurence's offense, picking up 15 kills. Martinez got some help from Keely Bowen and her 22 assists. Martinez was also solid from the service line: she led the team with two aces.

St. Laurence's win bumped their record up to 12-6. As for Lincoln-Way Central, with the defeat, they broke their seven-game winning streak and moved their record to 9-4.

St. Laurence and Lincoln-Way Central should be looking forward to their upcoming games as both have a sizable advantage in the MaxPreps Illinois Rankings. The Vikings (ranked 48th) will meet Richards (ranked 416th) at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday. Meanwhile, Lincoln-Way Central will face off against Bremen at 9:00 a.m. on Saturday with a big rank advantage (107 vs. 581).
