Preview: Charlotte Trojans vs. McMullen County Cowboys
Charlotte is 1-9 against McMullen County since November of 2016 but they'll have a chance to close the gap a little bit on Thursday. The Charlotte Trojans will be staying on the road to face off against the McMullen County Cowboys at 12:00 p.m. on December 14th. Charlotte will have to bring their A-game into this one, as they are staring down a pretty big deficit in the MaxPreps Texas Rankings (they are ranked 1551st, while McMullen County is ranked 598th).
On Tuesday, Charlotte was the victim of a rough 50-29 loss at the hands of D'Hanis. Charlotte has not had much luck with D'Hanis recently, as the team's come up short the last two times they've met.
Meanwhile, McMullen County had already won two in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 13.5 points), and they went ahead and made it three on Tuesday. Everything went their way against Woodsboro as McMullen County made off with a 54-34 victory.
Charlotte bumped their record down to 2-13 with that loss, which was their fourth straight on the road. As for McMullen County, their win bumped their record up to 10-3.
Charlotte ended up a good deal behind McMullen County when the teams last played back in November, losing 46-31. Can Charlotte avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
