Laney is on a roll after a high-stakes playoff matchup on Tuesday. They came out on top against Leesville Road by a score of 7-3.

Carly Krueger was incredible, going 2-for-3 with one home run, two runs, and two RBI. That's the most runs she has posted since back in March. Layla Carr was another key player, going 2-for-3 with two runs and one double.
Meanwhile, there's no place like home for Garner, who bounced back after a loss on the road on Thursday. They walked away with a 6-3 win over Heritage on Tuesday.
Gabriella Czuczuk made a big impact while hitting and pitching. She looked comfortable on the mound, tossing seven innings while giving up just two earned (and one unearned) runs off ten hits. She has been nothing but reliable: she hasn't given up more than two walks in four consecutive appearances. She was also stellar in the batter's box, going 2-for-3 with one home run and four RBI.
In other batting news, the team relied heavily on Gaby Mizelle, who went a perfect 3-for-3 with three stolen bases, three runs, and one double. Another player making a difference was Avery Smades, who went 1-for-2 with two stolen bases and one run.
Garner has been performing well recently as they've won 11 of their last 14 games. That's provided a nice bump to their 15-7 record this season. The victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 10.0 runs over those games. As for Laney, their win was their sixth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 16-2.
Friday's match will be a test for both teams' pitchers. Laney hasn't had any issues making contact this season, having earned a batting average of .346. However, it's not like Garner struggles in that department as they've averaged .400. With both teams so capable at the plate, fans should be ready for an impressive hitting performance.
Laney couldn't quite finish off Garner in their previous matchup back in May of 2023 and fell 4-2. Can the Buccaneers avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
