Preview: Trinity Shamrocks vs. Tunkhannock Tigers
Trinity has been on the road for two straight, but on Saturday they'll finally head home. They will take on the Tunkhannock Tigers at 2:30 p.m. on Saturday. Hopefully Trinity is not getting complacent, as they presents a significant challenge as they come into the match much higher ranked than Tunkhannock in Pennsylvania (Trinity is ranked 98th, while Tunkhannock is ranked 628th).
Even though Susquehanna Township scored an imposing 55 points on Tuesday, Trinity still came out on top. Trinity walked away with a 62-55 win over Susquehanna Township.
Owen Schlager was his usual excellent self, scoring 18 points along with seven rebounds and four steals. He has been hot recently, having posted 15 or more points the last four times he's played. The team also got some help courtesy of Andre Steele, who scored 11 points along with two steals.
Meanwhile, Tunkhannock's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Tuesday after their eighth straight defeat. They lost to Pittston at home by a decisive 52-37 margin.
Trinity is on a roll lately: they've won ten of their last 12 contests, which provided a nice bump to their 16-4 record this season. As for Tunkhannock, they dropped their record down to 1-9 with that loss, which was their fourth straight at home.
