Basketball Recap: Pepperell Comes Up Short

Pepperell played a tough matchup on Tuesday in which they were outscored in every quarter. They were dealt an 86-59 loss at the hands of the Bowdon Red Devils. The Dragons haven't had much luck with the Red Devils recently, as the team has come up short the last three times they've met.

Bowdon found their leader in sophomore Zayland Allen, who went 13-for-23 on his way to 31 points in addition to seven boards and five assists. The team also got some help courtesy of Timothy Johnson, who posted 12 points along with eight rebounds and three blocks.

Pepperell now has a losing record of 1-2. As for Bowdon, they have started the season off flawlessly and has a 2-0 record to show for it.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming contests. Pepperell will challenge Woodland at 7:30 p.m. on December 4. As for Bowdon, they will take on Lithia Springs at 4:00 p.m. on Saturday.
