Soccer Game Preview: Rossview vs. Dickson County

The Rossview Hawks will square off against the Dickson County Cougars at 5:30 p.m. on Thursday. Rossview will be looking to extend their current three-game winning streak.

Rossview barely beat Northeast the last time the pair played, but that sure wasn't the case this time around. The Hawks' defense stepped up to hand the Eagles a 4-0 shutout on Tuesday.

Meanwhile, for the first time this season, Dickson County was forced to settle for a draw. Neither they nor Cheatham County Central could gain the upper hand on Tuesday so the two teams had to settle for a 2-2 draw.

Blake Mattocks was the only thing that stood between Dickson County and a shutout considering he scored both of Dickson County's goals, bringing his season total up to seven goals.

Rossview's victory bumped their record up to 6-7. With that draw, Dickson County's record moves to 5-6-1.

Rossview got the 'W' when the teams last played back in April of 2024 against Dickson County by a conclusive 8-0 score. Do the Hawks have another victory up their sleeve, or will the Cougars turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
