Soccer Preview: Taos vs. Moriarty        
        
		
             The Taos Tigers will challenge the Moriarty Pintos at 4:00  p.m.  on Tuesday. The two teams are sauntering into the matchup backed by comfortable wins in their prior games.
 Taos headed into their last  match having not scored more than one  goal for five straight, but Pojoaque Valley let them put that streak behind them. Taos' defense stepped up to hand Pojoaque Valley  an   8-0 shutout  on Tuesday. The high-scoring performance was a welcome turnaround for the Tigers' offense, which had struggled in the games prior.
 Their offense was hitting Pojoaque Valley from everywhere, as five different players booted in a goal. 
 Lucy Schreiber led that balanced group of strikers and accounted for two goals all by herself.
 Meanwhile,  there's no place like home for Moriarty, who bounced back after a  loss on the road  on Tuesday. They put the hurt on Pojoaque Valley with a sharp  10-0 win on Thursday. The result was nothing new for the Pintos, who have now won six contests by three  goals or more  so far this season.
 Taos' victory bumped their record up to 4-8. As for Moriarty, their win was  their third straight at home, which  pushed their record up to 10-4-1.
 Taos came up short against Moriarty in their previous matchup  back in October of 2023, falling  3-1. Can Taos avenge their  defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
