Baseball Recap: Madera South Takes a Loss

Madera South blew Torres out of the water the last time the pair played, but on Tuesday Torres got their revenge. The Stallions fell just short of the Toros by a score of 8-6. That's two games in a row now that the Stallions have lost by exactly two runs.

David Moles made the most of his time at bat despite the final result and went 2-for-3 with two runs, one stolen base, and one RBI. The team also got some help courtesy of Noah Casarez, who went 1-for-4 with one triple, one run, and one RBI.

Madera South has traveled a rocky road recently, having lost ten of their last 11 games. That's put a noticeable dent in their 3-18-1 record this season. As for Torres, the victory snapped their losing streak at three games and leaves them with a 8-15 record.

Looking ahead, Madera South will be taking part in a tournament against Minarets at 4:00 p.m. on Wednesday. The Stallions are facing the Mustangs at the right time seeing as the Mustangs are stuck on a five-game losing streak. Torres will be paying especially close attention to Madera South's matchup: after Madera South faces off against Minarets, they'll take on Torres again at 6:30 p.m. on Friday.
