Volleyball Recap: Calhan Takes a Loss

Calhan lost against Simla back in September of 2024, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Tuesday. The Bulldogs lost 3-0 to the Cubs. The Bulldogs have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Calhan took the loss but they managed to make steady progress, increasing their score in every set they played. The final score came out to 25-3, 25-8, 25-18.

Simla found their leader in sophomore Ava Leininger, who had eight digs and five aces. Those five aces set a new season-high mark for Leininger.

Calhan's loss dropped their record down to 3-8. As for Simla, they are on a roll lately: they've won five of their last six games. That's provided a nice bump to their 7-2 record this season.

Calhan didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next match, a 3-1 victory against Fountain Valley on the 18th. As for Simla, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next contest, a 3-0 win against Wiggins on the 20th.
