Baseball Recap: Claymont Comes Up Short

Claymont lost a heartbreaker to Sandy Valley when they met back in March of 2024, and they left with a heavy heart again on Wednesday. The Mustangs fell just short of the Cardinals by a score of 11-10. The Mustangs haven't had much luck with the Cardinals recently, as the team has come up short the last eight times they've met.

Claymont's defeat dropped their record down to 6-9. As for Sandy Valley, their victory ended a five-game drought on the road and puts them at 4-8.

Coming up, Claymont will square off against Steubenville at 5:00 p.m. on Thursday. The Mustangs are facing the Big Red at the right time seeing as the Big Red are stuck on a four-game losing streak. As for Sandy Valley, they will venture away from home to take on Malvern at 5:00 p.m. on Friday.
