Softball Recap: Miles Takes a Loss

Miles was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their ninth straight defeat. They came up short against the Sonora Broncos, falling 16-1. That's two games in a row now that the Bulldogs have lost by exactly 15 runs.

Miles saw two different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Jayden Hindes, who went a perfect 1-for-1 with one triple and one RBI.

Miles' loss dropped their record down to 4-16-1. As for Sonora, the win snapped their losing streak at three games and leaves them with a 13-8 record.

Coming up, Miles will be playing at home against Eldorado at 5:30 p.m. on Friday. The Eagles have struggled to contain batters this season (they've allowed 9.25 runs per game on average), something the Bulldogs will no doubt try to take advantage of. As for Sonora, they will venture away from home to challenge Colorado at 5:30 p.m. on Friday. The Wolves' pitching crew has only allowed 3.8 runs per game this season, so the Broncos' hitters will have their work cut out for them.
